Harbor Village

Alameda CA | In Design

Harbor Village is a new home for unhoused Veterans in the transformational RESHAP Alameda Point neighborhood.

Created in partnership with Operation Dignity, Harbor Village is a new home for Veterans with a trauma-informed design that makes the most of the fresh Bay air and views, features a large healing garden at its heart, and offers space for gathering, fitness, and meditation.

Pronounced "reshape," RESHAP (Rebuilding Existing Supportive Housing at Alameda Point) is a catalytic development that will deliver quality affordable housing combined with supportive services for people who have experienced homelessness or trauma.

The RESHAP campus—a complete reimagining of the former Alameda Naval Air Station on approximately 8 acres of land currently owned by the City of Alameda, will include 332 deeply affordable homes with supportive services for families, veterans, survivors of domestic violence, and people who have experienced or are at-risk of homelessness.

More than 200 of the homes will replace distressed, former military housing that was repurposed as permanent supportive housing over two decades ago.
