Campus for Hope

Las Vegas NV | In Design

Campus for Hope is an innovative 22-acre campus in Las Vegas that provides comprehensive, personalized support for people on their journey out of homelessness. The master plan, landscape, and building design were driven by trauma-informed principles.

In collaboration with local architect TSK Architects, David Baker Architects is leading design on five mixed-use residential dormitories that form the backbone of a 12-building transitional housing campus, which also includes central dining, gymnasium, childcare, medical and behavioral health facilities, and a chapel. The project builds upon the demonstrated success of the campus model at Haven for Hope, a similar facility under the same management in San Antonio.

Trauma-informed design is a guiding principle for Campus for Hope, shaping a clear and predictable environment that supports comfort, confidence, and a sense of belonging. Spaces from the bedroom to the campus as a whole create multiple scales of social engagement and retreat in order to offer both safety and choice in how residents experience daily life.

The master plan, completed in fall 2025, and subsequent building design development is a collaboration among TSK Architects, e4H Architecture, DBA, and Design Workshop Landscape Architects, with Grand Canyon Development and Campus for Hope. The master plan is organized around a central promenade in order to create an active, tight-knit community vibe. The promenade stitches together and lends a clear order to the various, complex program elements. These are arranged along the promenade to physically reinforce the client’s journey.
