The Banff Session has historically been attended by a full house of near 400 architects, designers, academics and students from all parts of Canada and the United States. The 2010 event entitled SCALE featured presentations from internationally acclaimed architects from England, the United States and Canada.

For almost 60 years (since 1952), the bi-annual Banff Session has taken place in the picturesque Canadian Rocky Mountain setting of Banff, Alberta, Canada. The session provides an opportunity for those involved and interested in the field of architecture, interior design and the arts to discuss their work, ideas, beliefs, and attitudes in an arena of open dialogue, in a unique context unencumbered by the everyday pressures and activities of the workplace.
