Lenzen Square

Slideshow | Details

Green entry stair.

A large palm tree is part of the landscaping around the front entrance.

Lenzen Square is conveniently located near merchants and restaurants, with access to major freeways. Providing affordable housing in such an ideal location allows residents to live close to work and school, in addition to raising property values and bringing stability to the neighborhood.

This affordable housing project is located on the edge of an industrial warehouse neighborhood. The project contains 88 studio, one, and two bedroom units within two stories above a single level enclosed parking garage. The U-shaped building defines an at-grade courtyard which includes a community room, fitness center, generous sized pool and children's play-area.

The project is across the street from the San Jose Unified School District office which makes Lenzen an ideal complex for a teacher on a starting salary. Twenty percent of the units rent at 50% of the area median income, and eighty percent of the units rent at 60% of the area median income.
